We have a lot of basil growing in our garden and I had to start clipping it before it starts to flower so decided to make this Vinaigrette for our salads!
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 /4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Orange Juice
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 / 4 lemon and orange zest
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon honey
1 / 8 cup chopped Fresh Basil
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
Whisk together and pour into a jar container and give it a little shake!
PS - I love my Pampered Chef Salad Spinner! It keeps store bought and greens from our garden fresh for a month! So it not only cleans our greens it saves us money!!
It’s a nice yellow color, and we use it on a mixed green salad of mixed Romaine and other greens from our garden, some snap peas from our garden (when available). Add in small broccoli and cauliflower florets, raisins or sweetened dried cranberries, and crumbled feta cheese. *It's also great with some sliced avacodo for the good fat! Or add chicken too for more protein!
Enjoy the Journey!
