Sugar Free Bacon Nut Energy Bar

This Paleo bacon nut bar is full of protein and fat, gluten and grain free. I have not made these yet but wanted to share the recipe from Pete’s Paleo because they really look awesome!

We use sugar free bacon from Pederson’s, no nitrites, no antibiotics, no junk.

1 Cup each of toasted pecans or walnuts, almonds, whatever you have on hand.

1 / 4 cup raw honey

1 / 4 cup almond butter

1 cup cooked bacon, sliced and julienned. Plus use all the drippings

Add bacon, drippings, nuts, honey and almond butter into food processer and pulse. Add a little more honey and almond butter if needed. Add just a pinch of sea salt.

Add in a little cinnamon if you’d like.

Heat oven to 325.  Spread a little olive oil into your pan and then press mixture into pan.  Bake for 6 to 8 minutes.  Cool and then put in Frig for 1 to 2 hours to set. Cut into bars and enjoy!
