Tuesday, 08/19/14 - Quick Healthy Smoothie Ideas

Smoothies are a great way to get some quick healthy nutrition to fuel your body especially when you're on the go!  Kids love um too!  Stay young and vibrant no matter what age you are! 

Here's a few ideas for healthy smoothies:


  • Spicy Cherrie Smoothie
  • 1 cup Almond Milk
  • 3/4 cup frozen, pitted cherries
  • 2 heaping TBS ground flax seed
  • 1 serving of Vanilla protein powder  (Personally I’ve been drinking a certain gluten free whey protein shake brand for over four years now. If you’d like to know which one visit

  • 4 or 5 dashes of ground ginger (I also use fresh ginger that I keep in the freezer and grate it into foods)
  • Light sprinkling of cayenne (Kick it up a notch for more spice!)


Try some of these smoothie ingredients!


Tofu (to keep you filled up)
Berries like blackberry, blueberry, rasberry (full of antioxidants)
Banana to make your smoothie creamy
Organic unsweetened Apple Juice

A Green smoothie - (your kids will never know there's healthy kale and flax in there!)

Banana, Pear, Apple
Orange Juice
Flax (Omega 3’s)

Remember getting a Dreamsicle from the Ice Cream guy when you were  kid? 

Plain Yogurt, Mango, Orange Juice concentrate, filtered water, Ice


Blend and drink up!
