Saturday, 05/24/14 - The real key to automatic weight loss from Dr. Mark Hyman

This was me after having our first son in 1987 at age 34.  I struggled too with weight gain for many years always being at least 25 tof 30 lbs over weight. While pregnant with our first son I ate way too much sugar too and developed gestational diabetes.  I always struggled with hypoglycemia too in my 20's and 30's.  Even before our son was born in my late 20's I was over weight so yes I know what it's like to struggle with weight gain.  I always had this big bloating stomach that never seemed to go away and I hated going on 'diets'.  I discovered the reason why I had such an issue losing and keeping weight off over five years ago and have kept it off since and I turn 61 July 2014.

From Dr. Mark Hyman:

What if everything you ever learned about weight loss was wrong? What if losing weight has nothing to do with counting calories? What if most health professionals, our own government and especially the food industry are giving us weight loss advice guaranteed to make us fat?

We have a $60 billion weight loss industry that specializes in helping people count calories, eat less and exercise more. We need to accept the fact that this focus on calories has missed the mark entirely and is failing miserably at stemming the tsunami of obesity and related health, social and economic costs.

For the first time, research scientist Dr. David Ludwig has explained why this is true. It's not overeating that makes you fat. It's being fat that makes you overeat. Once you start to consume refined carbs, such as bread, rice, potatoes, pasta and any form of sugar, you start making a certain kind of "hungry" fat that makes you feel like you are starving, starting an inexorable cascade that leads to obesity.

Want to know how I’ve lost weight and kept it off for the last five years, turned back the clock on aging, and feel better and look younger at almost age 61 than when I was in my 40’s?  People keep telling me I look 45! Really I turn 61 this July!  Click Here to learn more from my friends Steve and Jordan on how to solve and fix Leaky Gut
