Someone recently sent me a message about gluten free pot stickers and where to find them. I had seen them recently on another gluten free website. I love chinese food and personally have not had an egg roll in like 5 years!!
You can find out more about the gluten free pot stickers at http://www.feel-good-foods.com/
You might try looking for them too at Whole Foods or Trader Joes.
This company has gluten free egg rolls too.
Caution: they do have corn starch in them though so I haven't tried these yet. I'm eliminating all corn products right now because corn seems to bother my system as well now. My holistic doctor said most of the corn is GMO and that's why it's not good for us. She said it destroys our gut. Read up sometime on what corn does to cows! It's not pleastant! Look for NON GMO organic corn.
I just emailed this company to ask why they use corn products and if it's non GMO/organic. I have a feeling it's not because on the video where the chef/owner is preparing the pot stickers he uses Canola oil which isn't that good either. I stopped using Canola oil and use either light olive or coconut oil. I also fry with the light olive oil and it works great. My chicken wings are lighter and taste so much better in the olive oil! Here's some information on Canola oil. You decide for yourself what's best for you and your family. Try pouring it around your garden! Apparently according to this article it deteers bugs!
Unfortunatly most people use what's cheapest and consequently their health suffers and them most of them just go to the doctor and they are given some sort of medication to relieve the symptoms. Most of the diseases today are auto-immune caused by food. But that's another story!
Unfortunately most gluten free packaged foods contain corn so read labels carefully if you have an issue with corn and if you've decided to go gluten/wheat free and still having some health issues you might consider eliminating corn to see how you feel. I know it's addictive and not easy to give up corn chips, salsa, cheese dip, etc.! Believe me I know how hard it is! But when I do not eat it I feel some better and the joint pain causes by inflammation subsides. Gluten Free packaged foods also usually contain sugar.
So just because it says Gluten Free on the label doesn't necessairly mean it's healthy! Personally I try to stay away from gluten free and all packaged foods as much as possible. Moderation is the key! Because sometimes you just gotta have it!
Enjoy the Journey!
