60 Feels Great! And The Journey Continues!
Here's more of what I've discovered this last week....
I’ve been listening to some of the expert health advisors online at ‘The Grain Of Truth: The Gluten Summit’. It has been hosted by TheDr.com and since it’s all online I’ve been able to listen to each speaker at my convenience and pause for breaks, whew! I also ordered the digital version for my library to stay on top of my game! The Gluten Summit was packed with life-changing information from 29 experts. All the information has been enlightening, encouraging, supportive, uplifting, inspiring and most importantly extremely educational! So many people just aren’t getting the right information to best improve their life for the long haul. And that’s exactly what I’m looking for personally, is to not only live longer but also as healthy as I can while here on this earth. After all if we’re not healthy what good can we do for others? I know what this is like from experience. Not to be able to spend quality time with family, friends, or even make a living because of being so sick all the time.
Who wants to live like that? Not me ever again!! I love the new journey I'm on much better!
And before saying or thinking you don’t have any issues with gluten/wheat you just might want to check out what Dr. Thomas O’Bryan and some of the other health professionals are saying about long term effects. He also mentions the ‘ice berg’ effect. Symptoms may not be showing up now but are hidden and surface later when you least expect them. And if you think eating healthy is too expensive, think again! Being sick is much more expensive!
So what do I fuel my body with first thing in the AM? And by the way, all these experts agree including this one!

Here's The Tip: Your body shifts into fasting mode when you sleep. Because you can’t store protein, getting it at breakfast becomes especially important to prevent muscle breakdown. So it’s best not to eat cereals and grains first thing in the morning. Especially those that contain sugar, rice, or corn products. Just in case anyone is interested in losing weight and keeping it off though they're better off not eating cereal/grains first in the morning. I’m sticking with my good clean protein shake first thing in the AM with no artificial sweeteners which have been proven to actually make people gain weight.

Another thing I do is check labels very carefully. Especially after my recovery from illness five years ago. Personally we have not used Sucralose/Splenda sweetener in over fifteen years in any products we buy. Why would anyone want to put something that is closer to DDT in their body? Are people that uneducated or just blinded by money and don’t really care as long as they get their fix? What about long term effects? I never recommend products here at Gluten Free Lady that I don’t personally use myself.
It is my personal mission to become as educated as I can about what I put in my body and I’m going to pass that information along to anyone who’s listening. So if that’s you I commend you for taking a stand for your own health! Someone has to do it right? So it might as well be YOU!
