Sunday, 01/06/13 - Healthy benefits of adding Turmeric to your diet....

After reading Dr. Sandra Cabot's book 'The Liver Cleansing Diet, picked up this healthy little root yesterday at Whole Foods and was amazed at all the awesome health benefits!  Not only does it help to cleanse the liver it has so many more amazing health benefits.  I chop up about 0.2 inch and throw it in my whey protein smoothie in the morning and using it in our raw juices.

The medicinal properties of this spice have been slowly revealing themselves over the centuries.
