In my last newsletter update I mentioned we anticipated an increase in interest to become an Independent Sales Associate/Consultant with BlackBox Cosmetics. This is coming to fruition as enrollment of new sales associates is accelerating. Many current sales associates are reporting high responses and sales to their paid advertising and social media efforts. We expect this trend to continue. We are now reaching a much larger age demographic of cosmetics' users. In addition, we are seeing sales rep growth due to our phenomenal commission and bonus structure. It's the highest paying of any direct sales company in the world. In March we increased the shopping cart payout commission by 50% for all Independent Sales Associates/Consultants and increased it 100% for Independent Sales Associates/Consultants that have enrolled 3 sales associates/consultants into their sales organization. That's an enormous increase and very attractive to those seeking a great business opportunity.


Business opportunity ads are doing well for all the reasons stated above. Since initiating our new commission structure and adding our line of makeup, Independent Sales Associate enrollments are up 200%. I believe this can be attributed to these recent changes. In my "Questions for Kevin" section at the bottom of this newsletter I have addressed a marketing option to attract sales associates/consultants into your sales organization.

June 6-9th, I attended the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE) in Chicago. The conferences for this event are designed to benefit companies that primarily do business on the internet to develop strategies and business relationships to help them grow and prosper in this fast-paced medium. I gained some additional insight from my peers and developed some new strategies we will be implementing in the near future. By the end of the conference, I walked away believing BlackBox Cosmetics continues to have the best opportunity in the industry. Many of the companies and business managers I spoke with expressed their difficulty taking advantage of the internet and competing with other online giants. A number of times I heard it stated that Direct Sales Companies have an advantage over many other retail sales formats due to our ability to take advantage of numerous sales channels. I believe this is very true and gives us a unique opportunity. When it comes to using different sales channels, I don't know of any other direct sales company that allows their sales associates to utilize so many different ones. Most have restrictions that make it very hard to sell online. BlackBox Cosmetics does not.


We have other advantages in regard to "the customer experience" and I see opportunities in this area we can implement into our business model. Starting August 14, 2017, we will offer customers free skin-care consultations to help them address their specific needs and suggest the right product to help them to accomplish that goal. This will add an extra personal touch that many large online retailers will never be able to offer. Appointments can be made by phone and online.


Question: "How do I market the Business Opportunity with the addition of our Makeup line and the increase in commission and bonus payouts?"


Answer: We are seeing successful results from many different sources of advertising, however I will use this area to highlight a successful one used to enroll new sales associates/consultants. Most likely you already know how to reach your closest contacts with a quick phone call, email, mailed postcard (found in our Marketing Section), and/or home party, but we will be glad to give you advice in this area if you call our office.


So let's take a look at a successful way to reach the general public interested in an opportunity.


Click Advertising

The most common way to reach potential Sales Associates/Consultants is through that person's specific search for a direct sales opportunity or franchise purchase. This is a highly motivated potential Sales Associate taking the time to look for an opportunity such as ours. An individual or couple looking to start their own business or business opportunity will find that BlackBox Cosmetics has the most lucrative and unique opportunity compared to other direct sales companies. They only need to hear about it from finding your ad.


To reach these potential sales associates/consultants, you may want to start an ad campaign with one of the major search providers or on one of the social media platforms. The two most successful ones in our opinion are Google and Facebook. To advertise on Facebook, you will need to log into your account. Below I have posted a picture on the left of the location on Facebook where you can start your ad campaign. The Picture on the right is Google Advertising. To advertise on Google, you can take this link and follow the instructions:


There are two different types of ad formats. 1) Adwords or Keyword Search and 2) Display ads.


Keyword Search ads will show at the top and bottom of Google search pages. You will notice the word (Ad) inside a green square before the website's address. This search feature uses the word or phrase someone searches. When placing your ad, if you use the search phrase:  "under-eye serum", anyone that searched that term may see your listing, depending on how often you want the ad to show. This is based on how much you are willing to pay per click and how much you have in your budget to show each day. If you set your budget to spend 50 cents per click at a max of $10 per day... once 20 potential customers click to visit your ad, your ad will stop showing until the next day. Assuming you put $50 in your budget, this will repeat for 5 days until your $50 is depleted. So basically you will have gotten 100 potential customers to come visit your shopping cart, place orders, and/or become a new sales associate.


Display advertisements on these platforms have many different ad sizes. The one below (300 X 250 pixels) is a very common size. Our art department will be happy to customize an ad with your Sponsor Code and/or phone number. We can also create the ad in the different sizes you wish to use. This is a complimentary free of charge service for our Independent Sales Associates/Consultants. The ad below would be targeted to those that visit business opportunity type websites. You could target those looking for franchise opportunities as well.

You can use your own personal phone number to take calls from your ads placed or instruct searchers to call BlackBox Cosmetics' directly. We are happy to take these calls for our sales associates and always go to great lengths to find the source of what prompted their phone call. This way we can enroll them or place an order under the responsible Sales Associate's account. Of course it is imperative you use your Sales Code in your ad and direct the link to your shopping cart.


For more information on keyword and display advertising with Facebook and Google, contact them directly. They have tutorials and customer service set up specifically for this. Both Companies generate the majority of their revenue from paid advertising and very willing to help you. They may even offer you some free advertising to get started.
